Information and how it is collected
Appointment-form entries remain in your browser until you choose to open WhatsApp or email and send the prepared message. Property-application details also remain in your browser while you complete and review the form. If you choose automatic email, the website converts the submitted information into a completed PDF and transmits it through our email-delivery provider directly to Nordhaus client service; neither the application nor the PDF is stored in a website database. We may receive your name, phone number, email address, address, identification details, authorised-contact details, payment preference, property interests and message.
Our hosting provider may process limited technical information necessary to deliver and protect the website, such as request timestamps, IP-derived network information, browser details and security logs. We do not currently use advertising, profiling or non-essential analytics cookies on this website.
Purpose and lawful basis
We use enquiry information to respond to your request, arrange an inspection or consultation, provide requested property information, keep necessary business records and protect our communications. Depending on the context, this processing is based on your request and consent, steps toward a contract, legal obligations or our legitimate interest in responding securely and maintaining appropriate records.
Who may receive information
Authorised Nordhaus personnel and approved professional or technology providers, including our hosting and email-delivery providers, may receive information only where necessary for the stated purpose. When you choose WhatsApp, email or automatic email delivery, that provider processes your information under its own privacy terms and may process data outside Nigeria. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a resulting business relationship, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes and protect legitimate interests. The specific period depends on whether an enquiry progresses to a transaction. We use proportionate organisational and technical safeguards, but no internet communication can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to be informed about processing, access or correct your information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, request deletion, exercise applicable portability rights or object to solely automated decisions. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
